Anthony J. De Santo Born in Freeport, New York on July 2, 1943. Departed on Jan. 20, 2004 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Anthony J. De Santo, 60, of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, January 20th. He was born in Freeport, New York, on July 2, 1943. A resident of Arizona for 4 years, Mr. De Santo was a retired postal carrier. He attended St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona. Mr. De Santo enjoyed metel detecting and studying the Old West and Native American History. He was interested in antiques and he also enjoyed football, baseball, and hockey. He was an ardent fan of the Yankees and the Giants. He enjoyed traveling, and his friends in the post office. He was a member of the NYCOA Club. Mr. De Santo is survived by his wife Vanetta De Santo, Cottonwood, Ariz.; his mother: Helen De Santo, Massapequa, N.Y. and a daughter: Vanetta La Rosa, Glen Head, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 26th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Massapequa, New York. Interment will be at the Calvertion National Cemetery in Calverton, New York. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Westcott Funeral Home of Cottonwood, and New York arrangements have been entrusted to the James Funeral Home, Inc. of Massapequa, New York.
