Musetta Loraine (Van Winkle) Kracht

Born in Wayland, Iowa on Nov. 4, 1917,
Departed on July 7, 2007 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona.

Musetta Loraine Kracht, 89, of Clarkdale, passed away on July 7, 2007. She was born November 4, 1917 to Harley and Frances Van Winkle in Wayland, Iowa.

Musetta married Floyd B. Kracht on December 11, 1935 in Fairfield, Iowa who preceded her in death in 2004.

Musetta worked as a Court Clerk for the County of San Bernardino in Ontario, Calif. She moved to Glendale, Arizona with her husband in 1976 and to Cottonwood, Arizona in 1980. They moved to Clarkdale in 1997.

She enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family, growing roses and violets, feeding and watching the birds from her patio and caring for her beloved pets, Gin-Chen, Gin Too and Cha Cha. She was a long-time member of the Verde Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess.

Musetta and her late husband were proud that they were able to contribute funds toward the purchase of land on which to build the new Verde Baptist Church Worship Center. It gave them much pleasure to watch the new building being constructed and later to enjoy many services and holiday programs in the new Worship Center.

She is survived by two children, John F. Kracht, Cornville, Ariz., and Jane F. Hurst, Clarkdale, Ariz. She is also survived by niece, Debbie Burandt (Don), Corona, Calif. and niece Pamela L. Van Winkle, Cottonwood, Ariz.; two great-nieces, Theresa Novak (Pete), Sacramento, Calif., and Laura Heinle (Ron), Stockton, Calif.; two great-nephews, Justin Burandt, Corona, Calif. and Vernon Van Winkle (Rhonda), Pahrump, Nev.; one great-great-niece, Brittany Heinle, Stockton, Calif.; and four great-great-nephews, Michael Hughes, Sacramento, Calif., Ryan Heinle, Stockton, Calif., Ron Van Winkle of and Tony Van Winkle both of Southern California.

A Visitation will be held at the Verde Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with the Celebration of her life to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Musetta will be laid to rest at the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale immediately after services conclude.
