Dorothy E. Stalo, 78, of Cottonwood died May 7. She was born April 11, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan.

She was a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She had worked as a teacher in California and Michigan and was known in this area as a teacher for the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District and taught in the West Sedona Elementary School.

She enjoyed reading and loved children.

Mrs. Stalo leaves her husband of 54 years, Clyde H. Stalo; son, Kim J. Stalo, Phoenix and three grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Friday May 7 in the Westcott Funeral Home.

Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer`Society, 2724 E. Lakin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, Ariz., 86004 or to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwo, Ariz., 86326.
