Miriam Hubschmitt Born in Calgary, Canada on April 9, 1920. Departed on Aug. 5, 2004 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Miriam Hubschmitt, 84, of Cottonwood died August 5. She was born April 9, 1920 in Calgary, Canada. She graduated from San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. with a degree as a licensed vocational nursing degree. She retired from Intercommunity Hospital in Covina, Calif. She was an avid Scrabble player. She leaves two sons, Marc Hay, Sierra Vista, Ariz. and Timothy Hay, Cottonwood; daughter, Sandra Richmond, Ontario, Calif.; sister, Evangeline McPherson of Los Angeles, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on August 10 in the First Assembly of God Church. Pastor Dana Metcalf officiated. Westcott Funeral Home directed the arrangements.
