Billy Ray Benson, 73, of Cottonwood died June 17. He was born January 25, 1931 in Clebit, Oklahoma.

He was a Naval veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Benson grew up and attended schools in McNary. He worked as an auto mechanic and in automobile sales.

He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, golfing and camping.

Mr. Benson leaves his wife of 14 years, Bessie Lu Benson; son David Benson; daughters Cindy Gibson, Tucson and Leslie Wells; brothers, James, John, Larry and Bob; sister Wanda Jordan; grandchildren, Jenell Wells, April, Kelly, Jacabe and Scarlett.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 22 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m.
