| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona August 8, 2004 LeRoy Layton, of Chandler, AZ passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003 at the age of 85. He was a farmer by trade and a prominent member and leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Roberta Layton, 2 sons and 2 daughters, 31 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. A viewing was held Sunday evening, August 10, 2003 at the Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald Street, Mesa, AZ. Funeral Services were held Monday, August 11, 2003 at the Chandler Alma Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2252 W. Mesquite, Chandler, AZ.
