Born in Comanche, Oklahoma on Sept. 26, 1919.
Departed on April 28, 2002 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona.

Floyd Childress, 84, of Camp Verde died April 28. He was born September 26, 1919 in Comanche, Oklahoma.

He worked as a drywaller in the construction trade for many years in the Flagstaff area. He has been a resident of Camp Verde for the last 28 years. He enjoyed playing dominoes and being at his favorite place, Sisters Cafe in Camp Verde.

Mr. Childress is survived by his children, Kenny Childress, Ricky Childress and Modene Shmiraldo allof Nevada, Barbara Colleen Childress of Calif. and Carolyn Childress, Sue Jean Young of Phoenix, Gerry Bramlett, Pat Centner and Don Allen Bramlett, all of Miss.; five sisters, Mabel Pierce and Luda Connolly, both of Arkansas, Blanche Savage and Betty Cottle, both of Camp Verde, and Pauline Long of Denver, Colo.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 3rd in the Westcott Funeral Home, 631 S. 1st Street, Camp Verde at 11 a.m.
