Born in Casa Grande, Arizona on Nov. 20, 1955
Departed on Feb. 1, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, AZ.

Joseph Kirk Thorbecke, 47, of Cottonwood and former resident of Kingman, Arizona died February 1. He was born November 20, 1955 in Casa Grande.

He worked in construction and was a member of Local 383 in Arizona and Local 872 in Nevada. He was also a member of search and rescue team, the National Rifle Association, the Hualapai 4 Wheelers, and the Sons of the American Legion.

He will be remembered by his family as a compassionate man who loved his children and his wife.

Mr. Thorbecke leaves his wife Kathleen Thorbecke; daughters, Joleen Thorbecke and Andrea Thorbecke; father, Joseph Thorbecke, mother, Roberta Machi; sister Joleen Parry, Gilbert and brother Jack Hilberg, Phoenix.

A rosary will be held in the Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6 at 7 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 7 in the Immaculate Conception Church, N. Bill Gray Rd. at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.
