| David Errol Franz Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Dec. 16, 1932. Departed on Jan. 18, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. David Errol Franz, 70, of Cottonwood, Arizona, died on Saturday, January 18, 2003. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 16, 1932. He was raised in the Denver, Colorado and was a graduate of East High School and the University of Denver. He served in the United States Navy and the United States Army during the Korean War. After his time in the service, he joined the police department in San Bernadino, California. After 25 years of service he retired at the level of detective. Mr. Franz is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara; daughter, Yvonne Franz, Prescott Valley; son, Mark Franz, Banning, Calif.; brothers, Jay Franz, Tucson, Dutch Franz, Colo.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 27th at 1:00 p.m. at the Westcott Funeral Home 1013 E. Mingus Avenue. Memorial donations may be sent to the Verde Valley Humane Society 1502 W.
