William W. Sanborn

Born in Longstreth, Ohio on Nov. 13, 1928.
Departed on Dec. 23, 2002 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona.

William W. Sanborn, 74, of Clarkdale died December 23. He was born November 13, 1928 in Longstreth, Ohio.

He retired from GTE Sylvania. He attended University of Maine in Orono, Maine. Mr. sanborn was a member of the Verde Valley Christian Church. A 32nd degree Mason, he was a meber of the Masonic Lodge in Flagstaff.

He leaves his wife, Garnet Sanborn; daughters, Debbie Smith, Flagtsaff and Rita Holt, Warren, Penn.; sons, Steve Sanborn and Bill Sanborn both of Flagstaff; sister, Mary Gold of Columbus, Oh.; brothers, John Sanborn, Columbus, Oh. and Jim Sanborn, Satellite Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Nora Sanborn and a brother, Nick Sanborn.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28 in the Verde Valley Christan Church,

William W. Sanborn, 74, of Clarkdale, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002. He was born Nov.13, 1928, in Longstreth, Ohio.

He graduated from the University of Maine at Orono and was retired from GTE Sylvania.

Mr. Sanborn was a member of the Verde Valley Christian Church. A 32nd-degree Mason, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Flagstaff.

Survivors include his wife, Garnet Sanborn; two daughters, Debbie Smith of Flagstaff and Rita Holt of Warren, Pa.; two sons, Steve Sanborn and Bill Sanborn, both of Flagstaff; a sister, Mary Gold of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, John Sanborn of Columbus, Ohio, and Jim Sanborn of Satellite Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Nora Sanborn; and a brother, Nick Sanborn.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. in the Verde Valley Christian Church, 3605 Zalesky Road, Cottonwood.

Westcott Funeral Home of Cottonwood is handling arrangements.
