Julio A. Cabrera passed away on July 2, 2009 at the age of 78. He was born in Christmas on March 24, 1931, to Julio V. Cabrera and Amelia A. Santos. Julio worked for Kennecott in Hayden, for 27 years, as an acid plant operator. He also served in the U.S.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW Post #59. He enjoyed hunting, going to the casino, fixing cars, and visiting with family and friends. Julio is survived by his children: Julio (Stacy) Cabrera of Oracle, Dorothy (Ralph) Lopez of Mammoth, Thomas (Merlinda) Cabrera of Dudleyville, and Belinda (Kevin) Guzman of Tucson; siblings: Armida C. Flores of Gilbert, Hortencia C. Gonzalez of Kearny, Evelina C. Santos of Hayden, Flora S. Pino of Phoenix, Velia S. Montano of Winkelman, and Rudy A. Santos of Somerset, CA.; 14 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Services will be held on Friday, July 10, in Mammoth at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with Rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. |
