The Wickenburg Sun the week of September 24, 2003 Glenn E. Woodmansee, 90, of Dewey, Ariz. passed away on Sept. 16, 2003 at the V.A. Hospital at Fort Whipple in Prescott, Ariz. Mr. Woodmansee was born Oct. 13, 1912 in Hutchinson, Kan. to Frank and Mary (McClintock) Woodmansee. Glenn moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1946 from San Diego, Calif. At the time of his retirement, he owned a vending machine company for 45 years. Glenn was a Charter member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, and the VFW, all in Wickenburg. He was a Master Mason, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, member of the El Zaribah Shrine Temple in Phoenix, and a member of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Air Posse. Glenn loved to travel, golf, play bridge and was a pilot of his own plane for 30 years. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Sibbie (Kerbow) Woodmansee; his sister June Berg of Phoenix, Ariz. Survivors include his sons Glenn (Ed) and his wife Sharon of Carriere, Miss. and Gene and his wife Nancy of Burlington, Wis.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz. Memorial contributions (include full name and address) to any of the Shriners Children's Hospitals.
