Raymond William (Bill) Deschamps

Raymond William “Bill” Deschamps, 71, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died July 11, 2008, at his son’s home.

He was born May 23, 1937, in Challis, Idaho, to Milton and Martha Schwarting Deschamps. He was raised in Challis and Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

He served in the United States Army, and on November 11, 1957, he married Marie Nessen in Nevada. Marie died Jan. 29, 2006.

He lived in Challis, Idaho Falls and Rio Verde, Arizona. He was self employed and owned Ideal Hardware until 2003 when he retired.

He enjoyed golf, hunting, hiking and his grandchildren.

He loved his grand kids more than anything in the world.

Survivors include daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Saxton of Boise, Idaho, Sue (Randy) Williams of Wellington, Colo.; sons, Tony (Lisa) Deschamps of Idaho Falls, and Randy (Gail) Deschamps of Rigby; a brother, Rocky (Nancy) Deschamps of Shelley; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Deschamps; and a sister, Jeannie Deschamps.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, Idaho.
