Dorothy (Dottie) (Greenway) Schnurr

Dorothy Greenway Schnurr (Dottie), a long-time Fountain Hills resident passed away on June 14, 2008.

Born Dorothy Greenway in Fort Dodge, Iowa on April 22, 1914, Dottie was 94 years of age.

An early resident of Fountain Hills, she moved here from Fort Dodge with her late husband, George Schnurr, in 1973. Dottie had been active in many local activities, most recently as a volunteer with the River of Time Museum and Historical Society, and the Republican Women’s Club. She was also a long-time member of St. Anthony’s Episcopal Church.

Dottie is survived by her son, Frank N. Wiggins, Esq. of Washington, D.C.; and her daughter, Susan W. Becker of Piedmont, Calif. She also left four grandchildren, Christopher Becker of Brooklyn, N.Y., Katharine Becker of Beverly Hills, Calif., Tucker Wysong of Portland, Ore., and Charles Colborn of Vernonia, Ore. Mr. Wysong and Mr. Colborn are the sons of Dottie’s late daughter Jenelle Wiggins.
