Robert James Ralph

Bob lost his fight with cancer on May 29, 2008 in Surprise, Ariz. with loved ones at his side.

He was born and raised in Sacramento, Calif. on Feb. 7, 1937 and attended local schools.

Although he started college to major in journalism, he instead had a long career as a land surveyor in California and Arizona, recently retiring from RJR Surveys in Fountain Hills.

He enjoyed music and played in a rock band on the weekends for many years. Recently he spent his free time playing golf and tennis as much as possible. Some of his favorite activities included his annual golf trip to Reno and hosting friends at his vacation home in Pinetop, Ariz.

He is survived by his daughters Cindy Marcum, Stephanie Theroux and Robin Pine and seven grandchildren. He also leaves behind many dear friends.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Saturday, June 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Desert Canyon Golf Club. Directions are available at desertcanyongolf.com.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations in his memory to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
