THE WICKENBURG SUN THE WEEK OF JANUARY 8, 2003

Virginia May Tatum (Grandma), age 76, died Sunday Jan. 5, 2003. She was born March 16, 1926 in Holtville, Calif.

Virginia Tatum was known to many as Grandma. In her lifetime she was a seamstress to the country music stars, a truck driver and forklift operator, but most remember her as one heck of a ranch hand and their favorite waitress at the Cowboy Cafe. She enjoyed softball, yoga, team roping and barrel racing, and none of us could keep up with her at the local dance, except Grandpa.

She is survived by her brother Roy E. Campbell and Maxine Campbell of Prescott, Ariz.; her nieces and nephews Steve and Matt Campbell, Marla Ridges and Rene Walters and their many loving children; her four loving children, Gwendolyn and Mitch Glattfelder of Ashfork, Ariz., Dixie and Jim Custer of Wickenburg, Ariz., Danny Tatum of Wickenburg and Jolanda and Mike Britain of Yuma, Ariz.; her grandchildren Brenda Morrow, Donda Fullmer, J.D. Edwardson, Danny Custer, Cody and Stacey Custer, JimBob and Tina Custer, Brett Tatum, Cheyenne Britain and Chance Britain; her great-grandchildren Barre and Brooke Chapman, Lancia and Bryant Fulmer, Paige, Dwight, Blaine, Karlee and Tatum Edwardson, Brittany, Paige, Hailey, Shelby, Aaron, Lacey, and Brett Custer.

Pall bearers will be Danny and Brett Tatum, Mike Britain, Cody, JimBob and Danny Custer.

Honorary pall bearers will be Jim Custer and Mitch Glattfelder.

Services are planned for Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. at the LDS church in Wickenburg, Ariz. Arrangements were handled by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
