PICKLES, John, Jr.

ARIZONA CITY - John Pickles Jr., 77, of Arizona City died Nov. 19, 2006 at home.

Mr. Pickles was born Sept. 30, 1929 in Colfax, Iowa, and was a son of Ethel M. (Ward) and John Pickles Sr. He served in the Air Force and Navy and was a maintenance clerk. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees, Chicago Bears and Phoenix Suns, and enjoyed golf. He and his wife traveled many thousands of miles together.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene J. (Jeffreys); a son, James S. Pickles of Litchfield Park; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert C. Pickles, and a brother, Joseph Pickles.
