He was born May 9, 1927 in Murdo, South Carolina. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Emmanuel Fellowship in Cottonwood and the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Rapid City, South Dakota. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Audrey Shimer; daughters, Jerolyn Gibson, Rapid City, S.D. and Cleo Ripley, Phoenix; a sister, Deloris Dolly, Presko, S.D.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd in the Emmanuel Fellowship in Cottonwood. Another memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th in the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Rapid City, South Dakota at 2:00 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Emmanuel Fellowship, 1580 E.
