POWELL, Shawn D.

Shawn D Powell, 43 Died: 06/20/2009, in Sun City West, AZ On May 26, 1966 the Lord blessed the union of the late Robert Powell and Josephine Powell with a beautiful son, named Shawn. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Michigan. Shawn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Devry Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He was employed at Insight Corporation. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and riding his motorcycle. Shawn accepted Christ into his life in 2003 in Cincinnati, Ohio at The First Baptist Church of Glen Este under Pastor Brent Snook. On Saturday June 20, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona, the Lord called him home. He leaves to cherish the home he is going to and to rejoice in many precious memories: His loving mother, Josephine; brothers and sisters-in-law Reginald (Diane), Robert Jr. (Randi), Brian Keith, Ernest (Patrice); his aunts and uncles Betty, Shirley, Mary Ann (Thomas), James, John (Brenda), Elaine (Sonny), and Lorraine (Joseph); precious great-aunt Elsie Buckley; 25 first cousins, and 40 second cousins. He was predeceased by four grandparents, one aunt, two uncles, and one cousin. A host of other family and many friends from California and Arizona, to Florida and Michigan, and all places in between.
