Ruth E. Baland Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Feb. 1, 1923. Departed on Nov. 23, 2002 and resided in Sedona, AZ. Ruth Elizabeth Baland, 79, of Sedona died November 23. She was born February 1, 1923 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mrs. Baland was a retired accountant. She was the founder of the Northern Arizona Boys and Girls Club. She was named Sedona Citizen of the Year in 1995. She leaves a daughter, Margie Baland of Sedona; her companion William E. Pumphrey, Sr. and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Eric. Her services are private and a celebration of her life will be announced at a later time.
