HARNEY, Tex

Tex Harney, 63, of San Carlos passed away on June 14, 2009 at Copper Mountain Inn Nursing Home in Globe. He was born in San Carlos on Sept. 20, 1945. He was the son of Frank and Aileen (Belvado) Henry. He worked as a laborer for a construction company, and enjoyed listening to 50s and 60s music and working on crossword puzzles. Tex was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brothers, Jerry Harney of San Juan, N.M., Gene Harney of San Carlos; sisters, Isabelle Stevens and Dollie Hooke both of Peridot, and Ruby Harney and Rebecca Rogers, both of San Carlos. A wake was held on Friday, June 19 at 4 p.m. at Ruby Harney's residence on Aravaipa Road. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 20, at 1 p.m. at World Evangelism Revival Church in San Carlos. Interment took place at the Upper Peridot Cemetery in Peridot. Lamont Mortuary of Globe assisted the family.
