Joseph W. Salazar, Jr. Born in Phoenix, Arizona on Jan. 24, 1962. Departed on July 5, 2003 and resided in Phoenix, Arizona. Joseph William Salazar, Jr., 41, of Phoenix, died July 5 in Phoenix. He was born January 24, 1962 in Phoenix. He attended St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Phoenix. He was a member of the Yavapai-Apache Nation and has many relatives in the Verde Valley. He leaves his wife, Claudia Salazr of Phoenix; daughters, Karolyn Salazar, Kasarah Salazar and Cheyenne Salazar, all of Phoenix; sons, Avery Salazar, Joseph Salazar, Quanah Salazar, Tahza Salazar; his father, Joseph Salazar, Sr. all of Phoenix; a sister, Bernadine Salazar; brothers, Clarence Salazar, Roland Salazar and Warren Salazar; and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 11 in the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave. Cottonwood at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona.
