DAVIS, Mildred (Millie)

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Jan 31, 2007 Millie Davis age 67, passed away Jan 23 after a lengthy illness. Graveside services were held on Saturday, Jan 27 at 11 a.m. at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Dean Stanley officiating. Millie was born Jan 18, 1940 in Salmon, Idaho. She came to Arizona in 1960 settling in Wickenburg. She began working at Rancho de Los Caballeros where she worked for 20 years. She is preceded in death by her first husband Frank Welsh in 1981. She later married Chester Davis in 1983. She loved to go camping and fishing, and in her later years she enjoyed crocheting, crafts and was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband Chester Davis of Wickenburg; sons and daughters-in-law Ron Welsh and Jan Raphael of Chino Valley and Chuck and Rose Welsh of Yarnell; step-daughters Carolyn Jerauld and Marilyn Bays both of Wickenburg; brothers Ron Spath of Washington and Ted Spath of Salmon, Idaho; sister Ruby Morgan of Hamilton, Mont., and sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Basham and Tommie Ann McFarland both of Wickenburg; grandchildren Trever, Sarah and Jared Welsh and Tammy, Shane and Wayne Sicz; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Millie to Hospice of Arizona. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
