Ventura County Star, Ventura, California Friday, July 31, 1998 Thena Sanders age 86 of Prescott Ariz. passed away July 27 1998. Mrs. Sanders was born Aug. 30 1911 in Russellville Kentucky. She worked for many years as a culinary assistant at the Camarillo State Hospital. She was a member of the Ventura Baptist Temple and was proud of her Christian faith. Mrs. Sanders loved to read the Bible and spent many hours doing crochet work. She made many keepsakes for her family to enjoy which they will treasure. She is survived by daughters Marie Young of Ventura Betty Kiley of Chino Valley, Ariz. Mary Doheny and Harriet Graf of Phoenix, Ariz. and Patricia Priest of Bellflower, Calif.; sister Anabell Knight of Roseburg, Ore.; brothers Leonard Cole of Yakima, Wash. James Cole of Sarasota, Fla. Howard Cole of Wapato, Wash.; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at noon Monday Aug. 3 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park Camarillo. Arrangements are under the direction of Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.
