STOKUM, Nadine R.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 14, 2009 Nadine R. Stokum died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Good Samaritan in Prescott Valley. She was born May 31, 1922, in Remlig, Texas, the daughter of Steven and Gertrude Wood. Nadine was 87 years old. Nadine met and married the love of her life, Russell Stokum Sr., on Nov. 22, 1943. She raised three children and later retired from Bank of America as an assistant manager. She and Russell moved to Prescott Valley in 2002. Nadine is survived by her loving and caring husband of 65 years, Russell Stokum; children Russell (Melanie) Stokum of Mesa, Ariz., and Cheryl McGowan (Don Bainum) of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren Troy, Bret, Marshal, Garrett, Todd, Landis, Shannon and Nadine; and great-grandchildren Sky, Brittney, Shannon, Forrest, Elijah, Berlyn and Tristan. Nadine is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Sue Scott. A memorial service for Nadine will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7885 E. Long Look Dr., Prescott Valley, Ariz.
