LUND, John (Jack)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Feb. 27, 2002, p. A9 John "Jack" Raymond Lund of Tucson, Ariz., died Feb. 22, 2002 after complications from ALS. A native of Fontana, Calif., Jack received his B.A. in Business from Claremont Men's College and his MBA from the University of Southern California. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, was a graduate of the U.S. Naval OCS and Naval Aviation Training Center, and earned the rank of Lt. J.G., serving as a Naval Aviator on the USS Ticonderoga. Following his Naval career, Jack was involved in real estate, commercial property sales and leasing. Jack is survived by his wife Karen Hershkowitz Lund; brother and sister-in-law William and Sherry Lund of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sons John R. Lund Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., Jerrall B. Lund of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Michael Lund of Wickenburg; daughters Jennifer Stellmacher of Honolulu, Hawaii, Jillian Lund and Kimberlee Lund of Denver, Colo.; mother-in-law Elizabeth Hershkowitz; brothers and sisters-in-law Leonard and Peggy Hershkowitz of Wickenburg, and Louis and Mary Hershkowitz of Yuma, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be made to the ALS Association, 5040 E. Shea Blvd., Suite 151, Scottsdale AZ 85254 or MDA, 3300 E. Sunrise Dr., Tucson AZ 85254. Memorial services were held Monday (Feb. 25) at 3:30 p.m. at the Wickenburg Country Club.
