Paulden, Arizona - Weldon Rutledge joined his Lord and Savior on July 12, 2007. He died peacefully at his home in Paulden, Arizona with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born in Post, Texas, June 30, 1926 to Hardy and Blanche Rutledge.
He is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter Sandy; and son Marty Rutledge; step-son Matthew Dwire; one brother Donald and wife, Jean Rutledge of Abilene; granddaughters, Tracee and Brandi Dukes along with great grand children, many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wife's family, Dwight and Marilyn McCullough of Mesa, Arizona, Scott and Anne McCullough, Fred McCullough of Middlesex, VT, as well as a host of his many cowboy friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Cody Cochran of Bethel Assembly Church of Anson, Texas officiating. Burial will follow in the Chino Valley Cemetery directed by Chino Valley Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Velma Robinson and Dorothy Watkins.
