Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, December 4, 2007 Jo Ann Newell, 76, of Prescott, Ariz. died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, in her home. Jo Ann was born March 12, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo., to Roscoe and Kathleen Buck. Jo Ann moved her family from California to Prescott in 1964. Jo Ann worked as a Detention Officer in the Juvenile Court System and enjoyed bird watching. She also was co-owner of C & J Furniture Store for eight years. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd of 57 years, and grandson Chet. Jo Ann is survived by her brother Victor Buck; six children, Michael, and Sam of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Dustin (Joyce) of Prescott, Ariz., Charles (Ellen) of Prescott, Ariz., Patrick (Wanda) of Prescott, Ariz., and Colleen Carr of Prescott, Ariz. A memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., with Bob Vance officiating. Services entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home.
