Effie Joyce Rose Effie Joyce Rose, 67, resident of Cottonwood, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 10, 2008. She was born in Flagstaff on September 13, 1940; daughter of Fred and Florence Cook. She has worked at the Marcus J. Lawrence Hospital, now the VVMC. She was also the office manager of Rose Appliance. Joyce was a faithful member of the Cottonwood Assembly of God Church; where she made many friends and touched their lives with her many special gifts and ministry. She leaves behind her husband of 33 years, David L. Rose, Cottonwood; son, David L. Rose, wife, Tracie, Phoenix; daughters, Joyce L. Winckler, husband George, Cottonwood, Debra L. Cockrell, husband, Randy, Mesa, Tamra L. Liggett, Cottonwood, and Kim Lich, Cottonwood; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, R. Jay Cook, wife, Carol and her sisters, Barbara Cook and Frances Duvall. A Visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood Assembly of God Church.
