The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, December 28, 1971 Mr. Joseph J. Stipsky, 66, died at the V. A. Hospital Sunday, Dec. 26, 1971 after a long illness. He had resided at 430 S. Montezuma St. for 19 years, coming from Stuttgart, Ark. where he was born Aug. 8, 1905. A Veteran of World War II, he was a retired chef and had worked at the Yavapai County and Yavapai Community Hospitals for many years. He was a former member of the BPOE # 330 Lodge of Prescott and a member of the Sacred Heart Church. He is survived by his wife, Roselyn of Prescott; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Kinton, of Philo, Calif. And Mrs. Allen King of Corona, N.M.; six sons, Spec. 5 Francis Stipsky, US Army, Honolulu, Hawaii, T/Sgt. Clifford Smalley of Bangkok, Thailand, Gene Smalley, of Seattle, Wash., Ted and Don Smalley, of Cloverdale, Calif. And Kenneth of Tempe, two sisters, Mrs. Pat Shapin, of Prescott and Mrs. Angline Iverson of Grants Pass, Ore.; one brother, Francis, of Metairie, La. and twenty-four grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Memory Chapel with Father Lenard Cueller officiating. Burial will follow in the VA Cemetery. Friends may call at the Memory Chapel Wednesday, Dec. 29 from 1 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The family has requested donations to the American Heart Fund in lieu of flowers.
