John Roberts “Bob” Boswell passed away on Dec. 3, 2007, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born on Dec. 14, 1925.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the infantry under General Patton’s Third Army and was awarded the Purple Heart at the age of nineteen. The lifelong injuries he sustained in the war led him to become a dedicated physician who placed patient care above all else. He retired from medicine in 1984 to raise Morgan horses in Tippecanoe, Ohio. In 1993, he retired from this “second career” and moved to Prescott.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Leeper Boswell; daughter Cristine Boswell Marchand and her husband, Paul, of Deale, Md.; son Thom Boswell of Vista, Calif.; daughter daughter Mary Lou Bedore and her husband, Ron, of Erie, Colo.; son Bruce Boswell and his wife, Rosranna, of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter Lira Maywood of Los Angeles, Calif
The memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church with a meal to follow. Memorial contributions may be sent to your favorite charity.
