Babette L. Melton, 87, passed away on January 3, 2009 in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born on May 30, 1921 in Rhode Island to Stanley and Edna (Solinger) Lyons. Babette moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ. 35 years ago from Northridge, CA. She worked as a guidance counselor for the Los Angeles Board of Education in Los Angeles, CA. for 20 years Babette is survived by her son, Conrad Melton and wife Judai of Sun City, CA. daughter, Carol Chester of Lake Havasu City, AZ. brother, Dr. Louis Lyons of Woodland Hills, CA. sister, Mrs. Joan Sigband of Van Nuys, CA; grandchildren, Jordan, Rachelle, Rudy, and great grandchild Karly. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Melton, daughter Crystal Melton and grandson Conrad Chester. A private graveside service will be held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
