Charles L. (Chuck)
Charles (Chuck) Lee Reynolds, 76, passed away peacefully on October 27,2007 at home in Lake Havasu City, AZ, after a 2-year battle with lung cancer. He was born on February 22, 1931 in Spencer, West Virginia to Alonzo and Emma Reynolds. He was one of ten children.
Chuck entered the Air Force immediately after graduation from Spencer High School and served during the Korean War. He earned Il BA degree in Electrical Engineering from USC in 1963 while working for Sperry Gyroscope (currently known as Honeywell) in EI Segundo, CA. In 1967 he was transferred to Phoenix, AZ, where he and Nancy met and married on October 9, 1970.
They became active members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 20 years. Their love of the water had brought them to Lake Havasu City on their first anniversary for the dedication of the London Bridge. They fell in love with the city and came often.
Chuck retired from Honeywell Flight Systems (Phoenix, AZ.) in 1991 after 38 years of service. In 1993 he and Nancy moved to Lake Havasu City. He convinced Nancy to give golf a try and they became members of the London Bridge Golf Course; where they spent most of
their days. Chuck was a member of the American Legion Post 81, BPOE #2399 and the Colorado River Computer Club.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Nancy, two children, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and all siblings
A private graveside service was conducted by Deacon Dennis Froemming, Lamb of God Lutheran Church at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy is requesting donations for a memorial at the London Bridge Golf Course, 2400 Clubhouse Dr, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86406.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
