COOPER, Mary Elaine

The White Mountain Independent - 10/10/2003 Mary Elaine Adams, 61, died Oct. 3, 2003 in Snowflake. She was born and raised in Covington, Kentucky. Mary went through school and graduated high school there. She later met and married Harold Wayne Cooper. They moved to Orlando, Florida where she lived until 1980 when she came to Show Low. Mary was a great homemaker, and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies were antique and "treasure" collecting. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Mitchell Allen (Tina) Cooper of Lakeside and Harold Wayne (Jo Ellen) Cooper of Show Low; one daughter, Dawna Leigh (Tom) Poley of Show Low; her mother, Shirley Hicks of Baldwin Parks, California; two brothers, Bob Adams and Bill Adams of Covington, Kentucky; two sisters, Sheri Wagner of Apple Valley, California and Donna Whittingslow of Charter Oak, California; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 9 at Owens Mortuary in Show Low.
