DAVIS, Dorothy Elizabeth

The White Mountain Independent's Online Edition - 05/21/2004 Dorothy Elizabeth Davis, 84, died May 15, 2004 in Apache Junction. Mrs. Davis was born in Table Grove, Illinois where she was raised and later married Ralph Andrews. They moved to Arizona in 1948. They lived in Tucson for a time then moved to Ray where he worked in the mines and also in construction work. They were divorces and she later married Calvin Davis and they lived in Apache Junction. Calvin died in 1990. For the past 20 years she walked to the Safeway store where she volunteered her services cleaning the Deli Dining area. Dorothy is survived by her two sons, James C. (Earleen) Andrews of Lakeside, Lloyd T. (Billye) Andrews of New Port, Washington; one daughter, Patricia ( Bud) Hammond of Miami, Arizona; one brother, Pete Steele of Indiana; two sisters, Katie Kepple and Marry Helen Hoke both of Illinois; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 21, at the Show Low Cemetery. A visitation was held Thursday May 20, at Owens Mortuary in Show Low.
