Ernest Edward Harris, Sr. The White Mountain Independent - 12/29/2006 Ernest Edward Harris, 83 joined his Heavenly Father Dec. 20, 2006, in Show Low. He was raised in Safford Valley and lived in the Show Low area for the past 49 years.After serving time in the Army Air Corp he returned to Arizona and married Laura Louise Brownfield Oct. 27, 1951. He loved gardening, fishing, reading and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr Harris was the kindest, gentlest man and always loved hearing and telling stories. He is survived by his two daughters, Palm's (John) Whitlow and Denise Elizabeth (Greg) Butler, both of Show Low; and two sons, Ernest Edward Harris, Jr. and Duane Charles Harris of Show Low, 11 grandchildren: and seven great-grandchildren. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Laura, in Dec. of 2000. Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at the Show Low Downtown Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial immediately followed at the Show Low Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
