The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona - 07/24/2009 Lewis "LoLay" Edwards entered into rest July 17, 2009, in Whiteriver. He was born Aug. 9, 1970, in Whiteriver. He will dearly be missed by his family, friends and relatives. Lewis is remembered by his companio, ZaZu Alchesay; mother Louise Edwards; children Ja'Shon Edwards, Joseph Lewis Edwards, Michael Edwards, Lucy Clendon, Vernadale Suttle and Davis Suttle; brothers Leno Edwards, Christopher Goodman and Alfredo Way Jr.; adopted parents Jerris and Judy Declay; adopted sisters Otilda A. Declay, Jessica Declay and Erica Declay; aunts Martha Moyah, Louise Pinal and Anita Cheney; along with nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Lindell Edwards; grandparents Lenzo and Martha Edwards; uncle Randall Edwards; aunt Gloria Zahgotah; and adopted brother Elvis A. Declay. A two-night wake started at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, at the late Gloria Zahgotah's residence (500 Riveroad, Seven Mile Junior School) in Whiteriver. A home service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at the family residence in Whiteriver with Pastor Floyd Dosela officiating. Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
