The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 11/14/2008 Richard Gass Sr. died Nov. 8, 2008, in Ft. Apache. He was born Oct. 19, 1957, in Whiteriver. Richard is survived by his mother Nellie Kasey; children, Sonny Gass, Dorthea Gass, Amy Gass, Tina Gass, Richard Gass Jr., Shawn Gass and Lamar Gass; sisters, Deloris Reidhead, Lorraine Jaffe, Colleen Lupe, Dorothy Quall, Audrey Mix and Olive Thompson; and many relatives and friends. A wake will start at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Lorraine Jaffe's residence (190 Dark Shadows) in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at The White Mountain Apache Christian Church in Whiteriver with Pastor Greg Smith officiating. Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
