The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona - 08/03/2007 Maudie Lavender went home to be with the Lord July 28, 2007, in Globe. She was born June 12, 1923, in McNary. Maudie is survived by her sisters, Bernice Massey and Louise Walker; aunt Mary Burnette; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Julia Walker, brother Willie Walker and sister Nancy W. Dazen. Maudie's body will be brought back to Lorenzo Aday's residence in Whiteriver for a two-night wake Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. A home service will be Sunday, Aug. 5, at 1 p.m. at the family residence in Whiteriver. Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
