Riley went home to be with the Lord, July 31, 2007, in Tucson. She resided in Whiteriver. She was born April 24, 1932, in McNary. She will be dearly missed by all. Elissa is survived by her children, Gloria Walker, Larry Riley Jr., Lousia Massey, Howard Riley, Rose Marie (Riley) Quintero, Gerald Riley; sister: Emma Cosay; brother Alo Janay; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband Larry Riley Sr.; sons Gordon Riley, Jay Riley Sr., Jarrett Riley Sr.; parents Arthur and Gunny (Danford) Janay. Elissa's body was brought back to her residence at 406 W. Cyprus St. in Whiteriver for a one-night awake Sunday, Aug 5, 2007, at 10 a.m. A funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Canyon Day, with Pastor Jerry Frawley officiating. Interment was at the Whiteriver Cemetery in Whiteriver. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
