Helen Sophia Morton, 95, passed away on August 13, 2006 at Mountain View Manor in Prescott, Arizona. Helen was born to Mamie and Frank Beyer in Sidney, Nebraska on July 3, 1911.
She lived in Alliance, Nebraska from 1942 to 1969. Helen and her husband Richard moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1969 and she lived there
until 1999.
Helen's husband Richard Morton and brothers Clarence and Bernard Beyer preceded her in death.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, family and friends
will remember Helen as a woman of strength, kindness and caring.
She was a gifted artist and craftswoman and found great pleasure in working with her hands.
Helen was a devout Catholic and found comfort in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise Barnitz; son, Gene and Sherry Morton; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Services were held in Greeley, Colorado at Sunset Memorial Gardens on August 19. Pallbearers included grandsons Jack Barnitz and Bill Barnitz.
