HAZELWOOD, Gertrude (Peggy)

The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 06/20/2006 Gertrude "Peggy" Hazelwood, 103 of Holbrook, died June 12, 2006 at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. Peggy was born March 10, 1903, the ninth of 15 children, to John and Albina Doshier. She moved to Holbrook in 1971. Peggy retired from Blue Bird Day Care Center in 1981. She volunteered at the Holbrook Senior Center from 1971 until the past couple of years. Peggy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Holbrook, and also a member of the Order of the Easter Star since 1933. Peggy is survived by two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Abraham Miller; her second husband, William Hazelwood; a son, Harold Miller; and a granddaughter Marcia Ann Miller. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 15 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Owens Mortuary, Holbrook. The services are scheduled for Friday, June 16 with the graveside service at 8:30 a.m. at the Holbrook Cemetery, with a memorial service at 9 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Holbrook. Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
