The Bakersfield Californian Thursday, November 25, 1943, pg 15 Obituary Notices GARCIA, MRS MATILDA RODRIGUEZ---The body of Mrs Garcia, 59, who died at the family home, 232 Rose avenue, South Taft, Wednesday morning, was shippd to Clarkdale, Ariz., today by the Stoffer Funeral servce of Taft. Funeral services and interment will take place in the Arizona city. Born in Mexico, March 14, 1884, she had lived in the community but nine months, coming here from Jerome, Ariz. Surviving are her husband, Gabriel Garcia, two sons, Ignacio Garcia, employed by the General Petroleum Corporation, and Mike Garcia of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Christine Gallegos of Taft, and a sister, Marcia Rodriguez of Arizona.
