The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, August 01, 2009 Fred L. Merritt of Ash Fork, Ariz., passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at the age of 71. The youngest of seven children, Fred was born on Nov. 13, 1937, in Prescott, Ariz., to Harold Bruce Merritt and Clarence Constance Cotton. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend. Fred is survived by his wife Shirley and daughters Cindy and Miriam. A memorial service celebrating his life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Willow Hills Baptist Church, 1071 Mogollon Road, Prescott, Ariz. Information provided by survivors.
