WILLIAMS, Robert L.

Prescott Courier, April 10, 1972 Robert L Williams, 68, died at Yavapai Community Hospital Thursday evening. Mr Williams had lived in Arizona since childhood. He had been a member of The Smoki People since 1924. He suffered the loss of both legs a number of years ago and despite this handicap operated his small ranch in Walnut Grove since 1943. He was a student of Indian lore and an avid reader. Among his survivors is a daughter, Mrs Ruth Ordesch and a son Robert L Williams, Jr. both living in California, a brother, John Williams of Phoenix and a sister, Mrs Ethyl Underdown of Wickenburg. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev Merle Heatwole at Walnut Grove Chapel Tuesday, April 11 at 2pm. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
