Driskill, age 94, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 18 with family at her side to begin her great adventure of everlasting life with our Lord. She was born on April 7, 1913 in Shreveport, La., to Edward K. and Elizabeth Pearl Forbes (Westfall). The family moved to Phoenix in approximately 1921. Marie married Andrew J. “Jack” Driskill in 1944 and moved to Wickenburg in 1948. She was employed at Rancho Grande Motel until she retired. She had served on the election board for many years. She spent the last seven years living with daughter Carol and her family. She loved her family, reading, doing cross-word puzzles, and wearing large turquoise jewelry. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Teen Reuter, husband, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is survived by daughters Joan Barth of Citrus Heights, Calif., Carol Miller (Karl) of Wickenburg, Valerie Echeverria (Julio) of Chandler, Ariz., Jacque Moody (Bill) of Santa Cruz, Calif., 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 niece. Memorial services were held on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. at Wickenburg Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
