The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 4, 2006, p. B6 Roy A. Long died the morning of December 24, 2005. Roy was born May 15, 1944. He leaves behind his wife of 39 years Jannie Long (Jean), daughters Melissa Perovich and husband Mark, Misty Crowther and husband Bob. He also had seven grandchildren: Damien Mc Cullough, Cheyenne Perovich, Bradley Strunk, Brittnee Strunk, Baylee Crowther, Zak Hynes, Sage Hynes and their mother Denise Hynes, one brother Kenny and one sister Varlene. He was preceded in death by his son Scott Hynes, two brothers and one sister. Roy belonged to the American Legion Post 12 and the Hassayampa Yacht Club. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. Roy was greatly loved, respected and admired. His absence will be felt tremendously. A potluck memorial will be held Saturday (Jan. 7) at The Rancher Bar starting at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations for the family are being accepted and appreciated at the Rancher by owner and friend Stub.
