The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 11, 2006, p. B6 Ramon Thunder Eagle went peacefully home with the Lord on Dec. 28. He was 81 years old. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Leslie. He was a long distance truck driver for over 50 years. He was in the Army Air Corps and fought in World War II. He belonged to the Elks Lodge BPOE 2160 in Wickenburg for more than 25 years. He is survived by his daughter Shirlee Edgar of Salt Lake City, Utah; step-daughters Jeannie Blanks of Wickenburg, Ramona Garcia of Albuquerque, N.M.; step-sons Randy Timmerman and Don Timmerman both of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren Chastity Van Otten of Utah, Jenna Timmerman of Wickenburg, Isaac and Shyann Timmerman of Albuquerque, N.M.; many great-grandchildren and many friends. Ramon will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He will live in our hearts forever. Great appreciation goes to Serenity Hospice and Sunbridge Estrella Nursing Home. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Jan. 13 at 12:30 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg. Pastor Dean Stanley will perform the ceremony. There will be a light luncheon served directly following services, sponsored by the First Southern Baptist Church hospitality group.
