Thomas Hadley Josten, 93, of New York City, N.Y., died Jan. 24 in Wickenburg, Ariz.
He was a retired advertising executive, investor, sailor and art collector; the only son of the late A. M. Josten and grandson of Otto H. Josten, founder of Josten's Inc. of Owatonna, Minn.
Tom was born Dec. 10, 1912 in Owatonna, Minn. He attended Carleton College, Duke University, the University of Chicago, and the Harvard Business School (AMP 1946). During World War II he served as a naval aviator through the South Pacific.
He joined Young & Rubicam in 1953 and retired in 1977.
Tom is survived by sister Roberta (Bobbe) Torgerson, brother-in-law Allan (Torg) Torgerson, and nieces and nephews Chris, Sally, Julie, Tom and Ande. He always spent Christmas with his family.
There was cremation, and private memorial services are planned for the coming summer.
