KELLER, Elaine

Elaine Keller, 83, passed away on Sept. 19, 2007 after a two and one-half year courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She fought her disease with a vengeance and never let it get her down. She and her husband, Robert D. Keller, first came to Fountain Hills in 2000 as snowbirds from Portland, Ore. She became a permanent resident following the death of her husband in 2003. Her passions were weekly visits to Silver Sneakers, long walks with her dogs, Nicki and Ali, crossword puzzles, Sudoku and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her three children, Sandy Argent of Steele, N.D., Wallace Keller of Vancouver, Wash., and Elizabeth Keller of Fountain Hills; and two grandchildren, Staci and Jim Argent. A memorial was held in Portland, Oregon, her home of 60 years. Donations may be made in her name to Scottsdale Clinical Research Institute – Oncology Division, c/o Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation, 10001 N. 92nd Street #121, Scottsdale, AZ 85258.
